Hi, I’m Richt Peterson, an artist based in the Netherlands. My work focuses on finding a balance between growing up and reconnecting with a childlike sense of wonder. Using stark black-and-white illustrations, I navigate emotion, memory, and imagination to confront complex social issues.

My focus is on making feminist themes easier to talk about. I explore sensitive social topics by having open conversations and translating these experiences into images. I work with simple, playful, and accessible ways of creating, so everyone can participate and tell their story. Through this way of working, I hope to make gender inequality and the complexities around it more accessible. In a world where extremes are becoming the norm, it is essential that we keep talking and learning from one another. By giving different perspectives a voice in my work, I hope to contribute to reducing inequality step by step and finding a new balance.
